First Taste

I'd known it was out there.
Seemed like it was all around me.

Only, I didn't know this was what it was really like.

Countless references to it where everywhere - I felt trapped, not knowing what to say when conversation veered towards it.

I felt low. Inexperienced.
Like a total noob.

...I hated the feeling.
Not that I don't like being unique or anything - but I had to know what all the fuss was about. How could one little thing make such a huge impact on the teenage world?
I had to know.
So I decided... I would get it.
And see for myself.

But I never expected it to be like this.
